Born in El Paso, Texas and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico, Cecilia Cortazar Peterson’s passion for food started early and spanned two cultures.
Her mother being a wonderful cook awakened Cecilia’s interest in food since she was 7 years old, also learning and helping her family’s cook, by roasting chiles, making corn tortillas from fresh masa and preparing traditional Mexican dishes like enchiladas, chile rellenos, rajas and of course TACOS.
In San Diego on vacation. Must stop was to visit the Liberty Public Market. After a tour of the market to check out out options we decided on Cecilia's. Wow! Fresh ingredients, prompt service and at an affordable price. Fantastic lunch and a must stop if you visit the Market.
You guys are awesome! Coming from ATX I've tasted and judged my fair share of tacos. The flavoring and sauces were unique and tasty, and complimented the meat just right. Great staff and fast services. Will return.
I love this place! The food is very fresh compared to other Mexican food joints, the salsa is amazing and you have to try the fish tacos. Simple and delicious :). They also have really good breakfast burritos.
Came in here for the first time, was blown away by how modernized it was. The service was exceptional and the food was exquisite. As a matter of fact I had to get another order of food because it's that good. I will most definitely be coming back
Such a good spot! We love coming to liberty station market and always want to try new spots but somehow we just can't miss out on Cecilias! Food is amazing, service is good! All around good place! Especially with a beer from bottle craft!
